Artrovert Gallery 2025 Overview

The year 2025, Artrovert Gallery’s fourth year of operation, proved to be both substantial and successful in terms of exhibition activity, public interest, and the revitalisation of the art market.
Over the course of the year, a total of 11 exhibitions were held — 10 in Tallinn and one summer exhibition at Villa Dombrovka in Karepa. More than 3,100 visitors attended the gallery exhibitions in Tallinn, while in Karepa art reached thousands of viewers over the three summer months.

Among the Tallinn exhibitions, the most visited was Eero Alev’s solo exhibition On the Horizon (Silmapiiril), held in March. The exhibition explored the concept of the time horizon and questioned whether our view of the future extends further than our gaze into the past.

The gallery extends its sincere gratitude to all artists who participated in exhibitions in 2025: Tauno Ostra, Sandra Sirp, Eero Alev, Maria-Kristiina Ulas, Kadri Toom, Saskia Järve, Olev Kuma, Kristel Schwede, QBA, Gerda Hansen, Brenda Purtsak, Tea Lemberpuu, Maris Siimer and Mall Nukke — for their trust, professional collaboration, and high-level artistic contribution.

A major milestone of the year was Artrovert Gallery’s first international experience: participation in the ArtVilnius art fair in early October, where the gallery was represented by works by Kadri Toom and Eero Alev. This step provided confidence and encouragement to increasingly look beyond Estonia’s borders in the future.

The revival of the art market was also reflected in the gallery’s economic results. In 2025, a total of 170 artworks by 61 artists found new homes or collections through Artrovert Gallery. More than €260,000 was paid out to artists for their works. The most successful artists of the year included Kadri Toom, Eero Alev, Kiwa, Regina-Mareta Soonsein, Pascal Bronner, Tauno Ostra, Mall Nukke and Saskia Järve. Martin Luts stood out as the year’s notable newcomer.

In addition to its exhibition programme, the gallery took part in the inaugural Kikumu Festival at the Jäneda Training Centre and helped organise the EKA 111 charity art auction. In collaboration with Lilia Kristianson, Scandium Kinnisvara and Liven, numerous artworks found their place in new homes and show apartments. The gallery’s permanent team expanded to two members, and a broad circle of supporters, collaborators and art enthusiasts has formed around Artrovert.

Artrovert Gallery looks to the future with confidence and a longer horizon than previous experience might have suggested. The promise for 2026 — to ourselves and to all art lovers — is simple and clear: at least one work of art.
