Vano Allsalu

Vano Allsalu (1967) graduated from Tallinn University of Art and Design in 1991 and has worked as a lecturer at Tallinn University of Art and Design as well as the University of Tartu. He is currently Associate Professor at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Allsalu has also been active in the organisation of art life, being a founding member of Sally Studio and a member of the board of the Estonian Artists’ Association. He was the President of the Estonian Artists’ Association from 2013-2019 and has continued as Vice President since 2019. In addition, he is involved in a number of art projects and organisations.

Vano Allsalu is known as an abstract painter, who has held solo exhibitions in Estonia since 1984. He has exhibited in both Tartu and Tallinn, where he has held more than ten solo exhibitions.

His works are held in the art collections of the Art Museum of Estonia, Tartu Art Museum, Eesti Pank, National Library of Estonia, ES Sadolin and Swedbank, as well as in several private collections in Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain and Australia.
