Taavi Teevet

Taavi Teevet (1996) is an Estonian artist and jewelry designer born in Tallinn.

Taavi graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s degree (2020) and a master’s degree (2023, cum laude) in jewelry and blacksmithing.

He has been a member of the Estonian Artists Association since 2022 and the Institute of Meetings & non-Meetings since 2023.

Taavi has held several solo exhibitions, including:

“Centrifugal” at HOP Gallery, Tallinn (2024)
“Library” at HOP Gallery, Tallinn (2023)
“Single copy” at A-Gallery, Tallinn (2021)
He has also participated in international group exhibitions such as “RADICAL SOFTNESS” (Lisbon International Biennial of Contemporary Jewellery), “PARTICLES” (Brussels Jewellery Week 2024), and “THE EMBASSY OF UTOPIA” (EKA Gallery, Tallinn).

Taavi’s work extends beyond exhibitions—he has contributed to various projects and performances. For example, he designed the Estonian candidate’s serving set for the Bocuse d’Or Europe 2022 and the 2023 finale, and worked as an artist for Paide Theatre’s productions “Oasis” and “Übermensch”.

He has received several awards and recognitions, including the Marzee Graduate Prize (2023), the Young Applied Artist Award (Estonian Academy of Arts, 2023), and the Adamson-Eric Young Artist Scholarship (Estonian Art Museum, 2023).

Currently, Taavi Teevet teaches at the Estonian Academy of Arts, offering courses in bronze casting, metal spinning, and introductory jewelry design. Since 2022, he has also been the head of the metal workshops at the academy.
