Kadi Hektor

Kadi Hektor (1976) was born in Tartu and studied at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Her work is driven by the fascinating diversity of nature — its forms, structures, textures, and systems. She is intrigued not by mere representation, but by the opportunity to observe nature up close and, when possible, from within, allowing her subconscious to synthesize what she sees. Only then does she begin to create her distinctive, organic forms, which resemble fossils — personal memories and interpretations of nature, aiming to preserve its fragile and vanishing beauty.
