Jürgen Vainola
Jürgen Vainola (b. 2000)’s journey as a photographer began in 2016, when he was a student at Tallinn’s 32nd Secondary School, where he captured the events that took place, and then the snowball started rolling. As his high school graduation project, he created a photo exhibition whose main goal was to capture emotion.
The photographer wants to show the captures that arose out of curiosity and of which only evidence remains. The author gives the viewer free rein to interpret the maze of events found in the photos – the only guidelines are the photos themselves. What happened before or after the fateful moment is up to the viewer to decide.
Jürgen graduated from the Pallas Art College in Tartu, majoring in photography, and in Tartu, his works have been exhibited in the group exhibition “Hortus PallasFoto II” at the Pallas Gallery, the Tartu Art House, and the Jakobi Gallery.
