Eleny Kasemets

Eleny Kasemets (1979) is an Estonian artist whose practice explores social themes and the expressive power of visual language. Her approach is rooted in sustainability—she works with water-based paints on paper and repurposes materials and older works to both reduce waste and continuously refine her methods. Her abstract compositions emerge organically and are often shaped by the subconscious, creating a balance between inner reflection and shared experience. Kasemets does not limit herself to a single medium, instead choosing the form—painting, installation, or otherwise—that best communicates each idea.

A graduate of the Estonian Academy of Arts, she is a member of several professional associations, including the Professional Association of Berlin Visual Artists (bbk berlin), the Estonian Artists’ Association, and the Estonian Watercolour Association. Her works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions internationally.
